South Africas troubles stem mainly from its official carcass of seperating whites from those who are not white though a physical exertion called apatheid. In 1948 the South African government came under influence of the Nationalist party. The Nationalists goals have been to establish formally the separation of the races by means of the policy of culture and future. Ideally, each racial group would be seperate, but equal to the others. However, apartheid has not reached its ideal.
