I turn in elect the reader-response approach since it is the most common approach that I use. The literary work that captured my interest in our weekly instruction was in Chapter 2, Robert frosts verse form, The Road Not Taken. The scam poem itself is self-explanatory. This piece of work caught my eye, not only because it is a abstract poem, save because of the meaning of the poem. Also, growing up, a agglomerate of my instrumentalist friends often referred to Robert Frost. Robert Frosts abruptly poem, The Road Not Taken, uses a symbol to capture the meaning in the short poem. Symbol- A word picture that presents an object, person, or live up to that conveys two meanings: its own literal meaning and something it substruc tures for as pull up (Clugston, 2010). The Road Not Taken, is one of Frosts most usual and anthologized poems, presentation the energizing effect that his stay in England had upon his poetic invigoration. The poem works so well in touch off because of his intense use of ambiguity to describe the difficult but obligatory process of making choices in feeling, a makeup that would be central to his work (The Road Not Taken, 2001). I understand in this short poem that the road he took was the driveway less traveled in the trip of life distant to the road that is always traveled in the journey of life. Frost presents the literal range of a function of two roads. But he suggests that they stand for something besides what their literal meaning conveys they represent (symbolize) life pathways, on which events in our day-by-day experiences unfold (Clugston, 2010).
